Advantages of silicone rubber products

Silicone rubber offers exceptional temperature resistance, chemical inertness, and biocompatibility that few other elastomers can match. Guangdong Anlin Technology provides premium silicone rubber materials and custom molding services for medical, food-grade, and high-temperature silicone application examples.

What Makes Silicone Rubber Unique?

Silicone rubber is a synthetic elastomer with a silicon-oxygen (Si-O) backbone instead of the carbon-carbon backbone found in organic rubbers. This molecular difference gives silicone its extraordinary properties:

  • Extreme Temperature Range – Performs from -80F to +450F (-62C to 232C) continuously
  • Chemical Inertness – Resists oxidation, ozone, and many chemicals
  • Biocompatibility – Available in FDA, USP Class VI, and ISO 10993 compliant grades
  • Electrical Insulation – Excellent dielectric properties for electronic applications
  • Color Flexibility – Easily pigmented to any color without affecting properties

Types of Silicone Rubber

High Consistency Rubber (HCR)

Solid silicone rubber supplied in sheets or blocks. HCR requires compression or transfer molding and is ideal for larger, thicker parts. Available in 30 to 80 Shore A durometer.

Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)

Two-part liquid system designed for injection molding. LSR offers faster cycle times, tighter tolerances, and is perfect for small, intricate parts. Available in 10 to 70 Shore A durometer.

Fluorosilicone (FVMQ)

Combines silicone temperature resistance with improved fuel and oil resistance. Ideal for aerospace and automotive fuel system components where both temperature and chemical resistance are required.
